Slow Cooker Mississippi Chicken is a mouthwatering blend of shredded chicken, zesty pepperoncini, savory ranch seasoning, and creamy butter.
Servings - 4 servings
Ingredients
- 3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- salt and pepper
- 1 packet dry Ranch dressing mix or 2 Tbsp
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 4 Tbsp butter cut into pads
- 1/2` cup water or chicken broth only if your slow cooker runs hot
- veggies or salad as side dish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker insert. Sprinkle with a few pinches of salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken, coating well. Place the sliced pepperoncini peppers and pads of butter on top of the chicken.
- If needed, add water or chicken broth only if your slow cooker runs hot and overcooks food.
- Slow cook on low for 8 hours, then shred the chicken and combine with the liquide in the slow cooker. Serve on sandwiches, over rice, or as is.
