Happy New Year friend!
The 6th plan is another ‘Slow Cooker Freezer Pack’ plan with a set of brand new recipes. I have pulled together a fantastic list of recipes for this newest plan and they can all be assembled into packs that you can freeze and quickly thaw and dump into the slow cooker. You’ve got dinner under control when you’ve got these goodies stashed in the freezer!
Welp.
Here’s the ‘twist’ on our 6th meal plan in the 20 Meals from Costco for $150 series. It’s the same set of recipes, reorganized into a format that you can use at your local grocery store! {Plus, there’s an opportunity to win $300…so read on!}
After reading thousands of comments and emails, we thought it would be best to break down the meal plan by type of meat so that you could take advantage of the meat sales at your grocery stores. My hope is that you will spend significantly less than $150 on all the meals when you shop the meat sales.
The recipes & shopping lists have been written by meat type so that when chicken breast is on sale, you take the chicken breast recipes & shopping list to the store to get all that you need to make up the packs that call for chicken. It’s up to you to following the meat sales cycles to really save a ton on these meals!
Another bonus about this plan is that you don’t have to do all 20 meals at once! You get to do 4 to 6 at a time, as the different meal is on sale at your stores.
Because of the way that the printable is set up, there is only one option for this ‘any grocery store’ version of the meal plan. The printable download includes the recipes needed to make each pack, the printable labels for each baggie, 4 different shopping lists broken down by meat type, and the assembly instructions broken down by meat type. (Note: I grouped the Beef Roast and Pasta E Fagioli recipes together in the printable so there would be 4 separate lists rather than 5.)
Here is a taste of how the printable breaks down: ground beef recipes, ground beef shopping list, ground beef cooking and assembly instructions; chicken recipes, chicken shopping list, chicken cooking and assembly instructions, etc.
Recipe List
Each pack in this plan is DOUBLED. So these 10 meals make 20 packs total! Each pack serves a family of 4. Larger families or families with bottomless pits (also known as teenage boys!) can double or use 2 packs for 1 meal! I’ve also included suggested side options given what is on the shopping list!
- Taco Soup
- Chili Mac – side of corn
- Beef & Vegetable Soup
- Chicken with Butternut Squash – side of pasta
- Maple Chicken with Sweet Potatoes & Carrots
- Creamy Ranch Chicken – side of bread & frozen veggies
- Raspberry Chipotle Pork with Sweet Potatoes & Carrots
- Maple & Balsamic Pork Roast – side of bread and frozen veggies
- Beef Roast with Carrots, Mushrooms, Onion – side of bread
- Pasta E Fagioli Soup
Ingredients List
I have removed the prices from the list, but here is the master list of main ingredients you will need.

Total OOP $TBD
I decided to include a quite expensive beef roast meal on this list because…BEEF ROAST. YUM! They are great as slow cooker freezer packs and are a nice treat! You could reduce the total cost by getting a smaller beef roast, or substituting stew beef for the beef roast. Also, keep an eye out for the smaller packages of the meat if you don’t need the full 1-2 lbs. per meal of meat. And please note the few different variations of ingredients included…go with what works best for you and your family. Plus, if you get creative with the leftover ingredients, you might be able to get another meal or two out of them 🙂
{There are a variety of additional items you’ll need to have stocked in your pantry or purchase at the grocery store like spices, butter, milk, etc. All of these items are too expensive to purchase at Costco or come in way bigger containers than needed for these 20 meals. The shopping list in the printables includes all of the ingredients you’ll need to have on hand and purchase from the store.}

One of the most challenging parts to pulling together a large number of meals like this at once is knowing what to do first, next, then and last. When you do things ‘out of order,’ it really can mess up the assembly process and cause you to waste a.lot of time in the kitchen. I’ve created several new printables and instructional videos that will actually make the assembly as smooth and quick as possible for you. Seriously, I might have done a celebratory dance when I finished the assembly…and you will want to as well! This package includes…

Hey, Erin! I bought the Complete Package, and I’ve looked it over and am in the process of watching the video. I like the printable labels, but they would be more helpful if they included all the cooking instructions (Chaw completely, cook in slow cooker for X hours on high/low…) Thank you for all the work that went into this.

Oops! That should be “Thaw,” not “Chaw.”

I am a first-time visitor to this site, but I think its one of the most intelligent I’ve seen in a long time. Bravo!

I just bought the any store version, there is no master shopping list. Only the ones broken up into protien/meal categories. A master shopping list would be very helpful so I don’t have to combine and consolidate the list myself. Is there one?
