- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- 30 oz. bag frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the minced onion and garlic powder. Once browned, drain and then mix in the sloppy joe sauce. Transfer the sloppy joe meat into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Add a single layer of the cheddar cheese slices, then add the frozen tater tots in a single layer onto the cheese slices. Then top with the shredded cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until warmed through and the cheese on top is melted. If needed, add a piece of foil over the top for the last 10 minutes of baking to prevent cheese from overbrowning.
- Prepare the salad.
- Serve Sloppy Joe Tater Tot Casserole with salad.
Freezer Meal Instructions
- To a disposable tray or baking dish, add the meat-sloppy joe sauce. Add slices of cheese on top in a single layer. Add frozen tater tots on top of the cheese slices. Add shredded cheddar on top of the tots.
- Cover with foil or lid, add label.
- Put tray in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm shallow dish of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring to the oven and bake at 400 F for 45 minutes, or until thawed and warmed through and the cheese has melted. Serve with side salad.
