Merry Christmas from the Chases!
It’s been another wild and fun year for the Chase family – here’s a fun update!
We are so grateful for the opportunity to visit Ryan in March, while he was studying at Florida State University’s campus in Valencia Spain. He spent his freshman year abroad, with their First Year Aboard program, and now qualifies we in-state tuition at Florida State. He’s been living on campus in the dorms with a buddy from Spain, and has plans to move into an apartment for his Junior and Senior year with a gaggle of guys from Valencia. He will be on the Dean’s List again and will be applying to their business school this spring. This study aboard program helped him make friends for life, and will make it so that he can graduate from FSU with no debt (thanks to some savings, some cash flow, and this in-state tuition qualifier!)
Charlie is wrapping up in Senior year a whole lot of sports, fun…and yes, injuries. He’s had 2 surgeries (one planned!), a broken bone, and a sprained ankle. Anyone wanna go in on a new start up with me – bubble wrap for injury prone people?! Kidding! But really, we’ve spent enough time in doctor’s offices this fall! In Fall 2025, he plans to attend University of Alabama, majoring in Biology on the pre-med track, and join their competitive waterski team. That’s been his dream for years, and it’s been a joy watching him make that happen!
Tyler’s transition into high school has been smooth and easy. He’s working on his Eagle Scout project, playing football and basketball, studies hard and well, and hopes to be fostering puppies in the near future. He recently got his driver’s learning permit and driving all over town! It’s such a neat season in motherhood, watching them rise to the occasion and accept the full responsibility and thrill of driving.
Austin’s health continues to be relatively stable, with a few blips and flares here and there. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful medical team, and team at school, that cares so much about him, his health, and his success. He wants to be a doctor one day, and I have no doubt that will happen. He recently started playing tennis and seems to have a real knack for it!
