Oven Fried Chicken Tenders
Perfectly crispy chicken tenders - homemade and breaded to perfection!
Servings - 4 servings
Ingredients
- 12 chicken tenderloins
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic and/or onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Place an oven-safe metal wire cooling rack onto a rimmed baking sheet. Place foil underneath, if desired, for easy cleanup.
- Set out 2 shallow bowls for the dipping stations.
- In the first bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese and garlic/onion powder, and salt.
- In the second bowl, lightly whisk the egg and milk.
- Dip each chicken tender into the egg combo, coating both sides. Then dip in the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides. Once coated, place on the wire rack. Repeat until all the chicken tenders are breaded.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. If desired, turn on the LOW broiler and leave in for 1 minute to golden up and crisp up the tops of the chicken tenders. Remove from oven and let cool before serving with favorite dipping sauce and sides.
