A scrumptious and easy quick bread made with eggnog and a dusting of nutmeg.
Servings - 8 slices
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour all purpose or gluten free blend
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 cup eggnog
- ground nutmeg dusting on top of the batter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9x5-inch or 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the eggs, vanilla, melted butter and eggnog. Stir until batter is smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish. Add a dusting on the ground nutmeg on top of the batter.
- 9x5-inch LOAF PAN: Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean in the center. Let cool before slicing and serving.
- 9x9-inch SQUARE PAN: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean in the center. Let cool before slicing and serving.
