Servings - 4 servings
Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 small red apples
- 1 small red onion
- Side: mashed potatoes
- Side: veggies
Instructions
- Place the pork chops into the base of the slow cooker and season with the garlic powder, pepper and salt on top.
- Cut the apple into large chunks and the red onion into slices.
- Place the apple pieces, flesh side down, and the red onion slices directly onto the seasoned pork chops.
- Set the slow cooker on low and cook for 4 hours.
- Prepare the mashed potatoes.
- Prepare the veggies.
- Serve Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Apples and Onions with mashed potatoes and veggies.
Freezer Meal Instructions
- To a gallon-size freezer baggie, add the pork chops, garlic powder, pepper and salt.*Do NOT add apple slices to the freezer bag. Remove as much air as possible from the bag and seal.
- Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer.
- Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes. Add the cut apple pieces into the slow cooker with the other ingredients. Slow cook on low for 4 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and veggies.
