Slow Cooker Peachy BBQ Baked Beans: A Sweet and Savory Comfort Dish
Dried beans are by far the cheapest way to prepare beans for meals or side dishes, and when I cook them…I need it to be easy and hands off. My favorite way to cook dried beans is in the slow cooker.
I’ve got this great BBQ “Baked” Beans recipe for you, cooked in the slow cooker…with a peachy twist.

Slow Cooker Peachy BBQ Beans
Slow Cooker Peachy Baked Beans: A Sweet and Savory Comfort Dish
Servings - 12 servings
Ingredients
- 1 lb bag dry navy beans
- water for soaking
- 24 oz. jar sliced peaches in 100% juice
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbsp molasses
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp dried minced onion
- 1 Tbsp ground mustard
- 2 1/2 cups hot water
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the dry navy beans overnight in a large bowl, covered with water and 2" of headspace.
- Drain the liquid from the peaches into the slow cooker with the beans. Then using a knife, cut the peaches inside the jar. Pour the peaches pieces in with the soaked beans.
- Once soaked, drain and rinse. Transfer the soaked beans to the slow cooker insert. Add the ketchup, BBQ sauce, molasses, brown sugar, minced onion, and ground mustard. Pour in 2 1/2 cups of hot water. Gently stir to combine.
- Set on low for 8 hours. Once cooked, stir in the tomato sauce (to thicken the sauce) and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve Slow Cooker Peachy BBQ Beans as side dish.
