We’ve been doing burgers every Sunday night all summer…and these are up there in my top 5!
Loved the Mexican flavor…the zip (but not so zippy that the kids wouldn’t eat them)…the added smokiness from the grill.
Yum!

I just made these. I topped w/ Pepper Jack cheese and enjoyed it. It was pretty spicy so I doubt that kids would eat that, but maybe they would minus the cheese. I’ll have to wait until later to find out the husband’s verdict.

The recipe looks good. However, I do have one question: how do you get meat so cheap? The only way I could get ground beef for that cheap is the “hamburger meat”, which is 30% fat and contains questionable cuts of meat. To get even ground chuck on sale it’s at least $2.50/lb. where I live. I’ve used your cookbook for almost a year and have never been able to get my costs as low as yours. It’s more like $6-$8 meals.
