This is my go-to pizza crust recipe. It has never failed me. And I’ve heard from many of you, that it has never failed you either!
If I make it with half white flour and half whole wheat flour, I add 2 Tbsp extra water. And I don’t generally make it “full whole wheat”…It’s just too grainy for our liking.
Save yourself a few bucks and make your own crust next time you’re having pizza. As long as you get it started in the bread machine in time (my machine’s dough cycle takes 1.5 hours), the actual “hands on” time is less than the time it would take you to order a pizza!
Hope you enjoy!

Great for a pantry challenge because it doesn’t require milk! As a working mom, this recipe allowed me to make pizza faster, healthier, and cheaper than ordering pizza (and hubby loving said, ‘it tasted like his mom’s pizza’). I made the dough in my bread machine over the weekend and popped the dough ball into a freezer baggie, as soon as the dough cycle was complete. The morning I planned to have pizza, I took the baggie with dough ball (& baggie of frozen homemade spaghetti sauce- recipe also from your site – and baggie of turkey pepperoni – bought on clearance) out of the freezer and moved into the fridge to thaw. At night, I rolled out the thawed dough, spread on thawed sauce, and added (previously) grated cheese and toppings – done!
